Period is 7 nights/ 8 days tour?

This trip offers you a unique opportunity to experience an adventure wildlife sightseeing trip. The chance to capture the country’s biodiversity will be. The temperature is lovely and the nights are nice...

The dry season begins means that the animals are collecting more and more often at the remaining water holes. We sleep as close as possible to these waterholes that offers beautiful photography opportunities. The vegetation is still green and the temperatures are pleasant which contributes to the comfort of this photo tour.

What does the program look like?

We roam with Go Bold Adventures Tours and together with our guide we roam from Maun to Kasane. If you need extension to Victoria Falls we can help.

7 nights- 8 days Itinerary

Arrive Maun. This city has a small 56,000 inhabitants - the 5th largest city of Botswana. Maun is the "tourist capital" of Botswana and the administrative center of the Ngamiland district. Francistown and Maun are connected to the A3 motorway. It is also the headquarters of numerous safari and aircrafts that offer trips and scenic flights to the Okavango Delta.

Day 1 : Maun - Xini Lagoon

We are picked up by our guide at the airport of Maun and (if you want) we first buy some Alcoholic Drinks and possibly some other delicacies. Afterwards we drive through to Xini Lagoon (Moremi Game Reserve). The journey will take about 3.5 hours. The last hour is on the game reserve and it's time to take some pictures. We are expected to be in the camp around 6.30 p.m.

Day 4 Savuti - Chobe National Park

Savuti is an area in northern Botswana, located in the famous Chobe National Park. It is known for its unique ecosystem, which is characterized by the Savuti marsh, which fluctuates in size depending on the annual rainfall and level of the nearby Chobe River. This dynamic water landscape provides a huge variety of flora and fauna.

It is known for its large herds of elephants. Cape Buffels who gather in the dry months along the Chobe Riverfront. Lions, antelopes, crocodiles and hippos live in the woods and lagoons around Linyanti Marsh. The flooding grasslands attract numerous bird species, plus migrating zebras.

The distance from Magotho to Savuti is 85km.

Day program: 05.30 we prepare for breakfast and the morning game drive. We drive straight to Savuti camp. We are expected there around 6.30 p.m. During this ride we drive through the park, marsh, depression, sand, open flats and the mophane tree boundary. In the camp there will be a delicious dinner again. Breakfast included - Lunch - Dinner and Game-drives

Day 2 : Khwai - Magotho

Magotho Campground is located 20 km north east of the Khwai Village along the main road Moremi - Savuti. From Xini Lagoon the distance is 70km. The campground derives its name from the Setswana of Acacia Erolba or cameby - these towering giants grow in abundance in the area and provide shadows to the camping pitches. Elephants often wander quietly through the pitches, giving visitors the unique opportunity to observe them up close.

Breakfast at 06.00 hours (time is always in consultation) we start with the drive to the camp, the expected arrival time at Magotho-campground is 4 pm. At 5 pm start with the afternoon drive to approx. - 7:00.p.m

Day 5 : Savuti - Chobe National Park

We get up again at 5.30 am for another great morning with hopefully a beautiful sunrise with animals in the morning light. The game drive will last up to 11.00 hours. We will cover the swamp, rocks, hills and open areas. Arriving at the camp we enjoy a delicious lunch, followed by rest. Around 15.30 hours coffee and tea will be served again followed by a great safari game drive and perhaps we will also find time to photograph the breathtaking evening light.

Around 7 pm we will enjoy a delicious dinner followed by a cozy campfire.

Here’s another thing about Savuti:

One of the most intriguing aspects of Savuti is the Savuti marsh. This area changes in size depending on the rainfall in the season and the water systems that complement the swamp. Sometimes the swamp is

dehydrated, causing the animals to migrate to other water sources, while in other years it is a rich and lush area full of life.

The fluctuating water level affects the vegetation and therefore the migration of animals. The area thus plays a crucial role for the animals, especially during the drier periods, when the animals are dependent on the artificial pans as the main water source.

Savuti is thus a dynamic, wild and unpredictable nature reserve that harbors a huge biodiversity, with a unique balance between water and drought, affecting life in the area. It is one of the most beautiful and wildest places in Botswana!

Day 7 : Kasane - Kwalape Safari Lodge

After breakfast we go to the Chobe National Park for a 3 hour game drive and then we drive back for lunch and rest. At 15.30 we are ready for the afternoon tea and the afternoon game drive. This will take as early as 19:00hrs.

Day 8 : Kasane- Airport

After breakfast we pack our things to be dropped off by Go Bold Adventure Tours at the airport. 2 hours before the return trip we are at the airport to go home again. We take our adventurous experiences and experiences with us and will not forget this roaming expedition...

Day 3 : Khwai - Magotho

The alarm goes off 05:30 and we get ready for the morning game drive. Breakfast in the camp or on the way (what we want). This game drive lasts until about 11.00 hours. During this ride we will explore the river and the open areas. Lunch is served in the camp, followed by peace. An afternoon off at around 3:30 p.m a coffee and tea lounge and then continue with the afternoon game drive. This drive will finish at 18.30 hours also allowing us to take a beautiful sunset. Dinner is served in the camp, followed to seat around the campfire.

Day 6 : Kasane - Kwalape Safari Lodge

Kasane is a city in the northern corner of Botswana (also the base to go to Victoria Falls) near the borders of Namibia, Zambia and Zimbabwe. It is the gateway to Chobe National Park, known for the herds of elephants that converge on the Chobe River in the dry season. It is approximately 200kms from Savuti.

Alarm clock 05:30 after breakfast we start with the morning game drive, beautiful light and cool animals and drive towards Kasane. During this ride drive through the park, sand and open plains, mophane-tree border. Today we also do a 3 hour private Chobe boat cruise at sunset.
